![]() Now I know some of you sniveling, whining, little kill-joys will start squealing and doubt-spreading about how Zf-41 rifles were only made by certain factories during certain years. Yes, folks, your wildest dreams are about to come true: Mitchell's Mausers is now selling original WW2 German Mauser Zf-41 sniper rifles! Let it be known that according to "Honest Don" Mitchell, these are the real deal, with genuine bases, not "the incorrect, reproduction bases often seen today."ĭrop your pants and reach for the Preparation H, because these treasures (scope and mount not included) can be had starting at the sphincter-ripping price of ONLY $999 for the "Collector Grade" up to $1,399 for the "Premium Select Grade"!!!!!!Īnd for only an extra hundred bucks, you can get the "Special Factory Code and Year Code (Most codes are avaiable)" Here is the one I'm talking about.I see that in addition to those rare and wonderful Lugers, and genuine original WW2 Mauser 98k and Mosin PU snipers Don Mitchell's world-traveling little gnomes have managed to score (hidden away in secret bunkers under Hitler's Alpine retreat and beneath a trap door in Stalin's bedroom closet) that have eluded everyone else for almost 70 years, his latest coup is locating and obtaining "the last of the original German long-eye-relief snipers built in WW2." The M48 is a little shorter in overall length in the barrel and the overall length of the rifle in comparison to the original German 98k it is modeled after." These 8mm rifles are excellent little shooters that are well made and offer a unique opportunity to the shooter and collector to purchase a Like New variant of the very dependable and well made Mauser 98k. Yugoslavia produced quite a few of these rifles that now have been brought to the surplus market in New to Like New condition. Based in design on the German 98k Mauser and the Yugoslavian Model FN 30 and 24 Carbines and Rifles. ![]() "The last Mauser Rifle (not made from parts or a rebuilt) produced by Yugoslavia at the famed Kragujevac arsenal, the Model 1948 98k Short Rifle or otherwise called the Yugoslavian M48. Made on German Tooling set up in formerly occupied Serbia. " A “NEW” Mauser, and it’s over 50 years old! A genuine Mauser 98K, the Model M48 is the Strongest and Best of the original bolt-action Rifles. Little tip but the "48" gives it away but the folks at Mitchell's are blatently fibbing. However, if you appreciate history and value a firearm for its collector appeal, then stay away from Mitchell's Mausers. If you know for a fact what you are getting when you order from them, which is a scrubbed, cleaned, and refinished M48, then by all means get it. They are also marked up significantly, and have zero collector value. ![]() As others have said, Mitchell's uses misleading, if not outright fraudulent advertising to sell their rifles. ![]()
